Many campaigns have standard reports that need to be run. In order to make this as easy as possible, Campaign Sidekick makes it possible for you to setup and save these standard reports so they can be re-run at a moments notice with no setup.
Here's how you use them:
First, navigate to the Data tab and select the Data Export link in the sub-menu. Then, name your export:
Next select the Filters drop down to expand your options
Select your options, defining what is possible to filter into your export.
You can either:
A. Exclude or Include voters based on the method of contact (Walked or Called), Dates contacted, and Canvassed or Knocked.
B. Define your Export by selecting what applicable tags you want to define your export by including and/or excluding tags:
The next step is to create the CSV that will be populated by the export.
Select the "CSV Fields" drop down menu at the bottom of the page
After selecting the "CSV Fields" dropdown menu you will see the Blue Plus sign, the Up Arrow, Down Arrow, and Red Minus sign appear on the left of the screen.
Select the blue plus sign on the right to add a column to the CSV, and repeat until you have as many CSV Columns as necessary.
Enter the "Header Name" for the CSV Column, then map that column to a specific data field under "Field Data"
Set All Fields for identification of the voters being exported
Then at the top of the "CSV Fields" area, you can add in the tags you want exported into their own columns:
Select Check for Data to see what the CSV will be populated with, Remember that this filter has the Walked from/to filter set for one week in June:
Since I want to export all of the voters, not just those 13 voters, I will remove the date range and then select "Check for Data" again:
Once verifying the filter is correct, select Save the Selection, which will save the Export Data Preset under the Preset: Select Preset at the top of the Export Data Page.
Select Get CSV to export the data selected as a .csv file.
In the future, when you need to run this report, you will be able to select it from the "Preset" drop down at the top of the page and run the report without re-applying the filters.
